McKay Egan
Dance Instructor
McKay Egan has loved dance for as long as she can remember. As a little girl, her greatest dream was to become a ballerina.
Mrs. McKay trained on and off at WSOD during her childhood, but she became serious about dance at the age of 14. During high school, Mrs. McKay worked at a teaching assistant and a substitute teacher to Sarah Ingley, former director of WSOD. After graduating high school, Mrs.McKay attended Santa Fe College where she majored in Dance and English Literature. At SFC, Mrs.McKay trained with Alberto Alonso (National Ballet of Cuba), Sonia Calero Alonso, Alora Haynes (Alabama Ballet) and Kristen O’Neal (Bates Dance Festival). Mrs. McKay performed with the Dance Theatre of Santa Fe as a company member and soloist, and choreographed many group pieces for student showcase performances and took master classes with Ballet Jazz de Montreal, Martha Graham Dance Company, Límon Dance Company, Pilobolus, Mark Morris Dance Group, Dance Alive! National Ballet, Florida Dance Association Young Dancers workshop & Momentum Dance Company.
In 2007, Mrs. McKay was awarded 1 of 10 full audition- based scholarships to Earl Mosely’s Institute of the Arts in Kent, Connecticut. While there, she had he opportunity to train and perform with such notable dancers and teachers such as Earl Mosely, Matthew Rushing & Clifton Brown from Alvin Ailey, Desmond Richardson & Juan Rodriguez from Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Jason Samuel Smith, American Ballet Theatre, Philadanco! Philadelphia Dance Company, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Finis Jhung, Freddie Dejesus, Julian Barnett, Alexandra Beller, Christopher Huggins (Joffery Ballet & Alvin Ailey) and many others. While attending EMIA, Mrs.McKay was 1 of 15 dancers chosen by Christopher Huggins to perform his work “Anointed” at the world-renowned Jacob’s Pillow Dance festival in Beckett, Massachusetts.
Mrs.Mckay began working as a substitute teacher at WSOD in 2005, and joined the school as a teacher in 2010. Mrs. McKay taught dance for the Gainesville Association for the Creative Arts from 2006-2009. She is a member of the Florida Dance Association.
Mrs. McKay graduated with honors from Santa Fe College with an Associate’s of Arts in Dance & English literature and Summa Cum Laude from Kaplan University with a B.S in Clinical Nutrition. She lives in Williston with her family and is a Mother to five children.
Ana Maria Padron
Art Instructor and Owner
With 20 years of experience in art education, Ana holds a Master's in Education from Miami Dade College. She dedicated to nurturing creativity and helping students explore their artistic potential. Her journey has been about more than just teaching art; it’s about inspiring and guiding students to express themselves and develop their unique voices. Each lesson is an opportunity to spark imagination and build confidence, making art an integral part of their growth and learning.
